Hi @MaggieMcGee good to see you. How's the ear?

Hi @Hamstrdam - I’m sounding like Vincent van Gogh!! Thanks for asking, my ear (right one btw) is improving in terms of unblocking and hearing returning. It’s still blocked but I read it can take up two months after an infection to return to normal. How are you?

Craig throwing Carlos there. Carlos enjoying himself. Did he put heels down? I couldn’t see.

Good evening. Liked the opening, Thought Sarah Green was Toyah 😁

What happened? I missed the start because OH had the F1 practice on.

Fleur sang a summary of the remaining couples and their dances tomorrow.

It's time for Cha Cha Cha Carlos! Still sporting the blonde hair, Carlos came in 2nd last year but thinks he did quite well with his Time step. He's going for quality, with a touch of speed. Gotta say he strutted onto the state like a model on the catwalk. He was certainly moving fast, turning around, making noises along with the dance and hands were akimbo (always wanted to use that word). Craig put his face in his hands as Carlos put on quite a performance - not to mention almost falling off the stage

So how did he do? Well....he completed 12 steps in 30 seconds. HOWEVER...were there disqualifications? Yes, 3 disqualified steps for a total of 9. He's top of the leaderboard, baby!

He said no one will beat him, he's got it. And I hope he's right.

Wow, Carlos did quite well. But clearly not well enough if he's on now and not at the end. The winner will be whoever is in the last pro challenge segment (which will be shared with another so you don't know right away who it is).

There were elements of Sarah’s rumba that were amazing but it was a bit spiky for me.

Sarah with hand on Vito’s knee … What is a hybrid rumba Vito?! I don’t think Fleur or Sarah understand what he’s talking about at all.

I can’t work out the dynamic between Sarah and Vito tonight. Maybe Sarah’s tired.

Sarah and Vito are Fleur's guests tonight. Sarah's still riding the "we got 10's" high. Vito is just high, I think. (Kidding, it's the fast talking)
Vito said he had to work to slow Sarah down, he mixed up the moves so she'd be up, then down on the floor, and that would keep her in pace. (I think that was what he said.) He kept telling Sarah to let go, to really get into it and feel it. She found that difficult to do. Craig & Motsi wanted more, Shirley thought the connection was there. Sarah's choosing to go with that opinion since our head judge is the queen of rumba.
This week is a Charleston to Popular from Wicked. Sarah's getting into the character, feels this is a part she really wants to play. Vito said it's full on, and Sarah's thinking "more lifts please". She's getting into character by bossing Vito about.
Sarah said the backing dancers are the biggest blokes and when they lift her she feels she is actually flying. Sarah did a Vito impression in there that was pretty spot on and funny.

Finishing up the show we have Karis Anderson with River Deep, Mountain High from the Tina musical.

I do love Tina. Did I ever tell you about the time I danced with her onstage?

Ending with a belter of River Deep, Mountain High. Good singer but she is not earthy like Tina, missing the sass. Tina really knew how to use the floor to get the leg effect in her dancing.

She is brilliant, and the star of Tina the musical. Have seen her in the show.

yeah that was a little flummoxing. Though when Frankie did "Defying Gravity", her partner Kevin was just a random guy in a green waistcoat, so it might be the same thing, though can't remember whether she did it for halloween rather than musicals week.

    I imagine he'll be Elphaba. Though maybe there'll be a JK Rowling-led hoo-ha about a biological male playing a woman's role.

Well, I was in elementary school and the father of one of my friends owned the night club Ike & Tina played at (Club Imperial in St. Louis, MO). One day we were at their house when the father had to go to the club, asked if we wanted to go along. So we had 4 little girls sitting at the bar with a 7-Up in a martini glass (extra cherries and a paper umbrella) and were listening to the rehearsal. When the Ikettes started dancing, ofc we were shaking around on our barstools. So they told us to come up on stage, showed us some steps (extremely basic) and we got to dance with them and Tina while they rehearsed. We shook things we didn't have yet, as I recall.
She was the most gracious and nicest person. I've loved her ever since.

In the film, Glinda's chief flunky before she and Elphaba become BFFs is called Pfannee, I wonder if Vito might have an affinity for the part, personally I hope not, but we'll see.
